Three questions about the RUHR Logistikpark in Castrop-Rauxel

The location combines many of the qualities companies are looking for today: a central position in the heart of the Ruhr region, excellent access to the A2 and A42 motorways and therefore short travel times throughout the entire metropolitan area. At the same time, the RUHR Logistikpark offers a modern, immediately available commercial property that provides a high degree of flexibility for a sole occupier. The combination of location, modern technical specifications and a large potential workforce in the immediate area makes Castrop-Rauxel a highly attractive business location for us.

For us, sustainability begins with the choice of site. With the RUHR Logistikpark, we have completely redeveloped a former industrial site and given it a new economic perspective. The building features an energy-efficient design with heat pumps, LED lighting and a green roof. A photovoltaic system is also planned. We are aiming for DGNB Gold certification for the project. For us, the RUHR Logistikpark is a very tangible example of how economic development, responsible land use and modern sustainability standards can be successfully combined.

I am originally from Dortmund and grew up in the Ruhr region, so I have a very personal connection to the area. The Ruhr region is incredibly diverse and still offers considerable development potential in many places. The fact that we have been able to create a sustainable logistics property that offers companies a long-term perspective makes this project particularly meaningful to me personally.
