New Built-to-Suit Project: Construction Begins on Barnet Europe’s New European Headquarters in Eschweiler
With a symbolic groundbreaking ceremony, construction officially began on the new European headquarters of Barnet Europe in the industrial area of Zeppelinstraße/Dürwißer Straße in Eschweiler. The globally operating company is a manufacturer and distributor of synthetic fibers, polymers, and yarns and will now consolidate its activities at a single central location.
Sustainable Logistics Property with approx. 23,000 m² of Total Space
By the first quarter of 2026, a sustainably built build-to-suit (BTS) logistics facility with approx. 23,000 m² of space for production, warehousing, and offices will be completed on the 41,400 m² greenfield site. The project is aiming for DGNB Platinum certification, setting new standards in the field of sustainable industrial real estate.
The development is being carried out in collaboration with global real estate investment manager BGO. Acting as general contractor, Goldbeck International has been commissioned by PRODAC, with Modevconsult GmbH overseeing the technical project management on site. The property was acquired from RWE AG in the previous year. In April 2025, the City of Eschweiler granted the building permit, and earthworks began later that same month.
Strengthening Eschweiler as a Business Location
