PRODAC celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the OAK Logistics Park in Dorfen, Upper Bavaria. Around eight months after the start of construction, this milestone marks the project’s progress according to schedule. Completion of the new logistics facility is planned for July 2026.
On a site of approximately 33,000 sqm in the district of Orlfing, a modern logistics and production facility with a total leasable area of around 19,200 sqm is being developed. The building can be flexibly divided into up to two units and comprises approximately 17,350 sqm of warehouse space equipped with a water hazard class (WGK) membrane. The space offering is complemented by around 900 sqm of mezzanine space as well as approximately 950 sqm of office and social areas.
Lars Zimmermann, Managing Director of PRODAC and the central contact for leasing, commented: “With the OAK Logistics Park, we are developing a sustainable and multifunctional property in an established location. Companies from the logistics, e-commerce, and light industrial sectors alike will benefit from the excellent transport connections and from a construction concept that meets the highest ecological and technical standards. With today’s topping-out ceremony, we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone involved in the construction for their outstanding work and the rapid progress of the project.”
A defining feature of the project is its holistic, sustainable, and future-oriented building concept, designed to meet modern ESG requirements. Upon completion, certification according to the Platinum standard of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is being targeted. Key elements of the sustainability concept include a timber roof structure, a photovoltaic system, fossil-free heating using heat pumps, and intelligent building technology. In addition, charging infrastructure for electric cars and bicycles will be installed. Measures to promote biodiversity — including the creation of traditional orchard meadows — complete the concept. A total of 56 car parking spaces are planned in the outdoor area.
List Bau has been commissioned as the general contractor for the construction works. Technical project management on site is being handled by Modevconsult GmbH, based in Weinheim.
The Dorfen location benefits from its strategic position within the greater Munich area. The nearby A94 motorway provides direct access to the A92, A9, and A8 motorways. Future occupiers will also benefit from the proximity to Munich Airport and the Munich-Riem Freight Transport Center, two key hubs for national and international goods transport. Public transport connectivity is ensured through the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV).
